The association of more than 1,900 retired educators and education support professionals.

Are you dreaming of the day when golf, tennis and traveling fill your days with pleasure?  For some of you that day may be closer on the horizon than you might think or plan for.  But, according to AEA Retired (AEA-R), it's never too early to start planning for your retirement.

"If you are thinking about retiring, think about AEA Retired," says Linda Somo, AEA Retired President. "Through AEA Retired, you can stay involved in the Association, remain informed about education issues and keep the benefits you've earned."

Since its inception, AEA Retired members have been involved in a number of activities, including monitoring the Arizona State Retirement System and Investment Advisory Council decisions, lobbying the legislature to improve and protect retirement benefits, participating in the AEA Delegate Assembly and NEA Representative Assembly governance activities and supporting public education.

Want to Become a Member?
You may join AEA Retired in several ways. You can have your dues deducted from your ASRS check. You may join on a yearly dues of $25.00 for each association (for cash a total of $75.00 per year, for dues deduct a total of $6.25 per check).

You may join as an NEA Retired Life member for a one-time NEA Retired dues of $200.00 cash. You then have yearly dues of $25.00 for AEA and $25.00 for AEA Retired (for cash members, after the first year, your dues are $50.00 for dues deduct a total of $4.17 per check).

We recommend dues deduct because it saves the association a great deal in mailing costs. You cannot join just one association, you must join all three.

So, continue to stay involved, remain informed, and keep the benefits you've earned.  Call either Shirley Boswell at 602-696-2458 or Jennifer Dawson at AEA 602-264-1774 ext 126, to request a membership application. or...

You've retired from your position -- not your profession!
